The customs office in Kuwait has implemented a new requirement in reference to the newly introduced Temporary Import License. This document has to be obtained by the shipper prior to the arrival of the shipment at the port of entry.  The License is issued by the local officials in Kuwait City and is required alongside all other set of import documents for clearance of household goods being moved into the country.  Once the correct documents are prepared, they need to be forwarded to our destination partner’s office who will proceed with processing the import approvals at customs. 

Kuwait customs are also now charging customs duty on every Import shipment at 5% of the cost, insurance, freight (CIF) value of the shipment.
